Late checking in...

I'm a little late on my posting. School has kept me busy (midterms next week, eek!) along with Halloween doings.

Right now, I am struggling to fight my cravings. Now that Halloween is over and the candy is on sale, I just want to go buy 50 bags and eat them all in one sitting. Obviously that wouldn't be conducive to weight loss. That's rather unfortunate, isn't it?

I've been trying to fight off my cravings, whether they are for sweets or just food in general, with healthier alternatives. My candy cravings are fought off with a sugar free candy or two or a glass of crystal light, which helps with the daily water intake as well. When I am craving something salty, like chips, I have a handful of pretzels or nuts (not honey roasted).

Matt actually gave me a really good compliment on Sunday. He told me that he was liking the way my body was starting to look and that he thinks I'd be perfect with a little more toning. It, honestly, was really sweet of him even though it was an awkward kind of compliment. I am liking the way I am starting to look. Even with just losing a little over four pounds, I can see a difference.

Even though he thinks I am looking great and just need toning, I still want to lose weight for myself. I was 145ish pounds when we met four years ago. There is no reason why I can't weigh that now with hard work and dedication. I just have to take it one day at a time, one pound at a time. They aren't all going to come off at once.

  1. I hear ya. Cravings are the worst. And my FI is not always so tactful with the compliments either.
